As time goes on, pianolas are deteriorating further and becoming more complicated to restore. You will see from these photos just how much work is involved.

On opening up the valve box, we found it full of concrete dust that had gone hard over the last 36 years.

It took a long while to chip away at the hard concrete before re-pouching this pianola.
